Bridges so far

Bridges has now delivered workshops to a range of stroke teams and practitioners across the UK:

To date we have delivered 50 workshops across the UK to over 800 stroke practitioners.

Evaluation through participant’s questionnaires, workshop feedback and case reflections is ongoing and will continue to inform the development of the training programme, stroke workbook, and implementation of the programme across the stroke pathway.

A randomised controlled trial is currently underway in Belfast, funded by the Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke Association. Bridges has also been chosen by the DH Stroke Improvement Plan as one of its priority projects and an evaluation of the feasibility of the programme from acute setting to discharge from rehabilitation is currently underway in Croydon, South London.
